Taking Control of own dreams- LUCID DREAMING

So here I am with another topic that got me interested a week ago.It’s popularly called ‘Lucid dreaming’…

For those of you who don’t know what shit I am talking about Lucid dreaming in the simplest terms means being aware when you are dreaming.Many of you might relate to this situation.Well,today I am gonna share some information that you would get simply by searching ‘lucid dreaming’ on Google…lol but I will also share what helped me to succeed in this crazy and fun practice .So let’s get started..

When we sleep ,there is more things going on in our beings than we are aware of.There are basically 4 stages of sleep

  • Stage 1: Your eyes are closed, but it’s easy to wake you up. This phase may last for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Stage 2: You are in light sleep. Your heart rate slows and your body temperature drops. …
  • Stages 3: This is the deep sleep stage.
  • Stage 4: REM(RAPID EYE MOVEMENT) Sleep

For lucid dreaming we need to be in REM Sleep.If you are sleep deprived,then it might be a bit more difficult for you to enter the REM STATE.You need to have atleast 7-8 hours of night sleep.

LD happens when your body is asleep ,but your mind is fully conscious.

For doing this we need to train a part of our brain’s Pariental Cortex.

There are many direct and indirect ways of doing this(the main goal is to become conscious while dreaming). Let’s talk about the indirect ways first(REALITY CHECKS)

1.CHECKING YOUR HANDS

Throughout your day start checking your palms to see if you are dreaming.If they seem weird,you are dreaming!

2.CHECKING THE TIME

Start checking the time and again give a look after a second.If the time changes,you are dreaming!

You can also make your own DREAM JOURNAL.You can write down your dreams every morning, instantly after you wake up, to avoid forgetting(ADVICE- Don’t use cringy noisy alarm tones to avoid distraction and problem while waking).This will make your dreams more vivid day by day giving you a lucid dream after sometime’s practice.

THOUGH IT SEEMS A BIT FUNNY AND IDIOTIC,BUT THIS THE REAL THING.YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOUR MIND TO DO THESE CHECKS CONSCIOUSLY SO THAT IT DOES THE SAME WHILE YOU ARE DREAMING.AS SIMPLE AS THAT!

You will straight away notice that you are able to perform these in your dreams. Slowly your dreams will get vivid over a short time and eventually result in lucid dreaming.
